Sea Lions or Seals?

March 25, 2009

I have got to get my camera out tomorrow and snap some pictures of the beautiful cherry blossom trees. They have bloomed so perfectly this year.

We have been so busy lately, I haven’t even had a chance to download my latest pictures.

On Sunday, the fam all got together and we celebrated birthdays. Mom’s was earlier this month and mine is on Friday, so we had a family birthday party. It was a wonderful way to end a perfect weekend. I will be uploading pictures to show from the party later!

We had a picinc in the backyard on Saturday. The girls were so excited to eat out on a blanket. Everytime we eat like that, they have to lie down. I’ve never understood that. They must be part Roman.

A quick trip downtown also provided fun for us on Sunday before heading up to Mom and Dad’s house. We took the girls to a sea lion show. They were hilarious! The girls really enjoyed the show. It was packed so we had to stand, but it was a short show and perfect weather. We learned the difference in sea lions and seals too. Like sea lions have ears and bendy hips. It’s always interesting to learn more about the animal world.

Healthy eating has taken center stage in our house. We read, okay skimmed, through You: On a Diet and have made some big changes in our eating habits. We even have all three girls eating whole wheat. Tomorrow, I’m going to add Beano to the grocery list though. This increase in fiber is killing us!

We seemed to have finally kicked to flu out of the house. Each of the girls had the pukie stuff. Not fun, but it’s finally over. Katie had it the worst, by far. She was so sad too. So we are happy that everyone is back on the mend.

I will have more time to be around here posting updates too. I’ve been slacking lately.
