Need some opinions

I got another wild hair up my rear end this past week. Spending all day lounging on the sofa-doped up on pain meds-does that to you.

I love the look of those vinyl letter sayings people are putting on their walls. They are all the rage. At least in my mind they are and that’s all that matters.

I want to put a quote/saying above our front door. I searched online and found the perfect thing to put there. I’m all excited about getting it done.

I looked at my options about buying the phrase from a company. I only found one place that I could get it kind of premade. I could order it custom, but I’m way too cheap for that. Not really cheap, just on a budget!

So I decided I would just paint it there myself. Who needs expensive vinyl words when craft paint and a brush are so cheap?

Perfect! I just need to run this idea past Jon before breaking out the paint. That’s where my plan has snagged a bit.

He doesn’t like the idea. He’s fine with words painted on walls in bedrooms-as the girls have them there and he didn’t’ mind it when I said I was going to paint some in ours. I tought “Always Kiss Me Goodnight” would be cute above our bed.

Apparently, words painted on walls are good for upstairs, but not down. If the words were painted/printed on something and framed, that would be okay, but not just painted on the wall. Man logic…whatever.

So, I plan on baking his favorite chocolate chip cookies and breaking the news to him gently helping him realize he really does like the idea.

Now here’s where I need help. I can’t decide how it looks best up there! I took a picture of the foyer and front door as it looks now-begging me to paint. Please ignore all fingerprints and dog noseprints you see on the windows. I didn’t clean them for the quick photo.

Then I fooled around with my Paint Shop program and put some different styles up there. Take a peek at them and give me your thoughts.
