Day 3

Wow, what a start to the day…more pain and nausea. I hurt so bad this morning, even my armpits hurt.

Jon packed up K and they made it to the pharmacy to get the nausea medicine my doctor called in yesterday.

What a difference a medication can make! About 15 minutes after taking the medicine, I feel like a different person. The nausea is gone and hasn’t come back. I have 3 more doses and a refill, but so far one dose is still working.

The medicine allowed me to eat without the nausea accompanying the food and drink. What a relief.

I have been craving a cheeseburger from McDonald’s. I’ve been begging for one, even though I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat it. A cheeseburger is the only thing that has sounded appealing to me, even with the nausea.

Jon brought me home a cheeseburger and I ate it. All of it. It was good.

Then I slept for the next 6 hours. That was good too.

Before the nap, I also took a shower. Maybe it was more like a bath. I guess I should call it a bathower. I sat in the girls’ tub and used the hand held sprayer to bathe and wash my hair. It was quick, but felt nice to be fresh and clean again.

Tonight I’m going to try to sleep in our bed again. Since I’m not so swollen, I don’t have to sit up to sleep. I’m looking forward to our bed.
